The Luigi Coat

$625

Named after the 2nd generation manager of Candiani Denim, and inspired by the Italian classic chore coat, this humble work jacket was typically worn by an apprentice.

In celebration of Candiani's 80th Anniversary, and their decade-long commitment to an eco-minded production process, we present a limited series of 7 all-gender styles.

Inspired by traditional Italian workwear uniforms, our intent was to reimagine Candiani's innovative new Re-Gen selvedge denim through our circular and regenerative approach - into a practical, durable and utilitarian wardrobe for today's needs.

Re-Gen fabric is 100% regenerated denim composed of 50% RefibraTM (recycled cellulose fibers) and 50% recycled cotton from Candiani’s own mill. No raw cotton is woven into this denim.

The resulting textile is then dyed using KitotexR and Indigo JuiceR Technologies for an unprecedented reduction of water and chemicals. The results save 30% energy, 50% water and 70% chemicals for every pair of jeans.
